Helen Ferguson

A former outcomes broker for disability services provider Spectrum Care, Helen Ferguson looks after the Upper North Island – Central area, including Special Olympics North Harbour, Auckland, Tamaki, Howick/Pakuranga and the Central and Eastern Schools programme.

Helen started her career in the deaf community using sign language studied at Auckland University of Technology’s interpreting course. She is a qualified sign language interpreter and keen sportswoman, is excited to be getting stuck into her role.
“I’m looking forward to meeting athletes in their various sports and seeing them achieve, and meeting likeminded passionate volunteers that support athletes and put a smile on their dial,” Helen says.

In her spare time Helen enjoys attending Boxfit classes, paddle boarding, the great outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
