Scott Vaughan

Scott is the newest member to join the Special Olympics team; beginning in April 2019, he is an active sportsmen who is keen to dive head first into the role.

Scott finished his university studies with a certificate in Education & a bachelor of Sport & Recreation majoring in management. After completing his studies Scott worked for Auckland Council, North Harbour Rugby and Rangitoto College where he continued to grow as a person and chase his passion for working in sport. Scott is a diehard rugby fanatic who has played at numerous levels for over 24 years. He currently plays as a halfback for the Takapuna U85kg team and says he will continue to play for as long as he possibly can. Aside from rugby Scott enjoys hitting the golf course and playing pick up basketball with his friends and family.
