World Winter Games 2017

Below you will find times for when our team arrive back to their hometowns and also into Auckland on Monday 27 March, 2017 - let's give them an amazing welcome!

2017 World Winter Games Arrival Times back into New Zealand

Palmerston North               3.30pm
Queenstown                     4.15pm
Wellington                        3.05pm

The 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games were held in Austria from 14-25 March 2017 where 3,000 athletes with an intellectual disability from 105 nations competed across nine wintersports disciplines.

New Zealand was represented by 13 athletes who competed across two disciplines: Alpine skiing and snowboarding. This was New Zealand's largest delegation to attend a World Winter Games, and supported by seven volunteer officials the team won 18 medals over the five day competition.
